Cougar Academy

The Cougar Academy is an after school program that serves our students every day.  The Cougar Academy falls under the ASES (After School Education and Safety) program which exists in several of our schools in the Elk Grove Unified School District. Most of the funding for the program is from the ASES and 21st Century Learning Grants. It addresses three key components: Homework support; literacy instruction, and educationally enriching activities. The Cougar Academy coordinator is Brian Brink

If you are interested in this program, please fill out the below electronic form, or you can get a registration form in the Administration Office.

The names that you give on the Cougar Academy application are the only adults who will be allowed to pick up your child from the Samuel Kennedy Cougar Academy, unless prior arrangements have been made. Anyone picking up your child must be 18 years of age or older and must present a valid ID at pick-up.

Discipline Policy

The Samuel Kennedy Cougar Academy is a continuum of the regular school day. The same code of conduct applies to the after school program. Our three encompassing program rules are Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe. We will work closely with parents to promote success in the after school environment. After three referrals for behavior, students may be dropped from the program.
